FAQ

Do we come to you, or you to us?

100% of my students come to my home in Patcham. This has benefits for your child, you and me.

Improved concentration: There are no distractions (eg Xbox) in my study.

It saves you money: I prefer to spend my time helping students rather than charging you for travelling time.

It enables me see more students. This is important as demand for my help is usually high.

How do I pay?

By emailing you an invoice in which everything is clearly laid out, I request payment each Half Term in advance by electronic bank transfer. This is simple, time-effective and, therefore, popular with parents.

We use QuickBooks accounting software. This is just a vehicle that my business uses to process invoices. You do not need to subscribe to it nor pay a penny towards my subscription. You simply need to send an electronic bank transfer into my business account for the amount on the invoice, quoting the invoice number.

By the way, there is no VAT to pay!

Which study guides do you recommend?

I make my recommendations after assessing your child's specific needs. They will be tailored to your child's individual learning style.

The choice is vast and choosing the right one for the correct exam board, specification and tier can be confusing. Therefore, parents usually ask me to supply study guides on their behalf.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please give at least 48 hours’ notice. Unfortunately, late cancellations or missed sessions will be charged for at the normal hourly rate.

If you were to offer one piece of advice, what would it be?

The most common mistake that I see is when people delay getting help for their child.

So my top piece of advice is to be proactive and give me a ring. I will be happy to discuss your child's specific needs free of charge. At the very least, I hope you will feel listened to, reassured and you will probably take away some free tips.
